I am giving a talk at our women's group, on having a friendship with your husband. I would love any words of wisdom, ideas that you have that help you and your man build a friendship, date night ideas, ANYTHING that would give me some ideas to pass on to the ladies. Please leave your suggestions in the comments section!
Thanks!!
Something we've been trying to do ever since we got back from vacation is act like we're on vacation at home. There are so many cool things to see and do where we live, but we get "used to" them and never seem to go on walks, to the beach, etc. when we're home. Getting out of the ordinary routine can really help bring you closer, I think!
ReplyDeleteWe always set aside Friday night as a date night even if it just means a special dessert and movie after the kids go to bed. We also have just started spending our Sunday afternoons together--tea time with project to work on together. I love it! Blessings on your talk, friend! I'm sure it will be great!
ReplyDeleteI recently read an article that said for each spouse to write down his/her favorite date spots. Place them in a "date jar" and on date night randomly choose one. This could be done for a stay in night as well. Each spouse could write things that he/she enjoys doing together...a walk, a favorite movie, a game, etc.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your talk...many marriages will be blessed by it. :-)
good luck!! and how fabulous you are encouraging the beauty of marriage!! My husband and I have a date night about 3 times a month.....just us. NO KIDS. soooooooo worth the babysitting $.
ReplyDeleteI am your newest follower..pls follow back if you can.
